When selecting your industrial valve materials for the valve bodies, seats and spools, the corrosion level, temperature and pressure of the application will impact your decision. Also, certain materials are more durable and less susceptible to wear. Of course, cost is an important consideration when analyzing various metals and alloys.

More costly than cast iron, brass and bronze valves
4. Monel (nickel-copper alloy)
Superior corrosion resistance
Ideal for cladding of valve trim parts
5. Inconel (alloy of nickel, chromium and iron)
Ideal for handling corrosive media
Maintains strength at high temperatures
